GOES TO RMCMI
Bob Hartzell, Executive Director of the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum in Leadville, Colorado has notified the RMCMI office with the following news:
"I am pleased to announce that the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute has been chosen to receive the 2010 Prazen Award from the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum. The Prazen Award is given annually to an entity (foundation, museum, other non-profit entity, corporation, or individual) that has demonstrated a continuing commitment and successful efforts to educate the public on the importance of the mineral industry. The award itself has been contributed by the famous artist/sculptor, Mr. Gary Prazen, to show his appreciation of the industry. The award will be presented at the annual awards dinner of the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum in Leadville, Colorado, on the evening of Saturday, September 11, 2010."
