RMCMI Meeting Information
Numerous meetings are held within the year for members of RMCMI as well as guests and friends of the industry.
The Annual Convention is held every year beginning on the last Sunday in June. This was established back in 1912 because the Miners went on vacation beginning on that date. The convention is considered the premiere "family" convention in the industry. Along with excellent technical sessions, Mine Rescue evaluations, Scholarship Awards and Short Course classes, the convention offers spouse and children's events, golf, entertainment, good food, wonderful friendships and a memorable time in the Rocky Mountains.
Three Regional Meetings are offered every year. Arizona/New Mexico and Colorado/Utah both hold late spring meetings, while the Tri-State region (Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming) offers a meeting in the late summer. These meetings are open to all friends of the industry. They offer mine tours, technical sessions, and excellent Keynote speakers. Of course they also offer a golf tournament and plenty of food.
