RMCMI Life Members
The first Life Member was named at the November 13, 1912 meeting of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute held in Denver, Colorado. He was Floyd W. Parsons, then editor of the magazine Coal Age. He had been instrumental in the organization of RMCMI as evidenced by the early history. In the ensuing years, many persons have attained the distinction of Life Membership.
RMCMI Bylaws state that any individual who has devoted long and dedicated service to the Institute and to its goals and purposes may be named a Life Member upon being elected to that status by the Board of Directors.
